What it is: A commerce platform that unifies independent retail and wholesale stores onto a single ordering system. Subscribers can order items over $50 and have them picked and delivered from whichever participating store actually has the item in stock, to a destination of their choice.
The problem: Retail and wholesale inventory systems are almost never built to talk to each other — different SKUs, different pricing tiers, different stock-update cadences. Unifying them into one system a shopper can actually trust in real time is a genuinely hard data integration problem, not a UI problem.
Our approach: We designed a unified product and inventory schema spanning both retail and wholesale catalogues, established a single real-time stock-of-record with clear rules for handling conflicting updates, and built the store-selection and fulfilment-routing logic on top of that foundation — including enforcing the $50 order minimum and matching each order to the nearest store that can actually fulfil it.
